Molexs line of microminiature SMT FFC/FPC connectors include features to meet a wide variety of space and application-specific needs. Molex also offers a broad range of ultra low-profile SMT FFC/FPC connectors for tight-packaging applications. Molex is continually developing lower-profile and higher-density features to meet the downsizing needs of electronic equipment makers. New features recently added to Molexs Microminiature FFC/FPC range include dual-contacts to eliminate the need to source different top and bottom mount versions, narrow width versions for further space savings and various cable tab and actuator locking styles to provide additional cable alignment and retention.
Micro HDMI
Molex leads the industry as the first manufacturer of the HDMI* Micro connector, the worlds smallest commoditized I/O solution for consumer electronics and portable hand-held device makers. Molexs HDMI Micro connector is a 19-pin, 0.40mm (.016\\\") pitch interconnect, in a 6.50mm (.256\\\") by 2.90mm (.114\\\") stainless steel shell. The connector offers all the advantages of the HDMI 1.4 specification and is half the size of the current Mini connector. Get Improved Card Ejection Control With Our Newest microSD Card Connectors. Molex has expanded its broad line of microSD* connectors to include new versions that reduce memory card fly-out and sticking problems in mobile and compact devices. Available in various profiles, the new versions include a detect terminal with a wiping function to assure good electrical contact. Camera Socket
Molexs Mobile Phone Camera Sockets Offer Versatility for Mounting Camera Modules. Molex offers a wide range of socket configurations that includes application extraction tooling to disengage the camera module from the socket.Visual transmission is via the camera module connected to the camera socket. The entire assembly is either soldered onto flex or PCB of the mobile phone. These sockets allow mobile phone makers to reduce their bills-of-material (BOM) due to the sockets compact design and simple assembly process. Another major benefit arising from the size of the sockets is the reduction in space.
SIM
Molex offers the SIM and Mega-SIM block type card connectors for mobile phone markets. This release covers the block-type SIM connector. In this design, the SIM card is integrated into the mobile application via this connector. SIM (Subscriber Identification Module) card which is used for billings, security and number storage purposes. Molex in, close collaboration with its customer has developed a range of SIM card connectors that feature a range of standard options plus the ability to custom design parts in specific applications.
